Create a repair ticket

Turn one or several incidents into a repair ticket with priced lines, or start one from an order. Then close, reopen or delete it.

People with the «Lost and damaged» permission in edit mode. With view mode you can open incidents and repair tickets, but not change them.

Maintenance is the «Incident and repair management» add-on, billed per user, with a 30-day free trial. Without it, «Maintenance» doesn't appear in the sidebar.

The incident says what broke. To pay the workshop or charge the client, you need the figures on paper: what's repaired, how much each part costs, the taxes. A is that document. It lists repair lines with prices and totals, and it can be linked to the order, the project, the client and the it comes from.

The ticket doesn't replace the incident: blocking the resource and following the repair stay on the incident.

Create the ticket for the wedding damage

Let's put the torn tent and the broken chairs on one ticket.

  1. Select the incidents In «Maintenance» → «Lost and damaged», select the tent's and the chairs' incidents.
  2. Convert them In the bulk actions, choose «Convert to» → «Repair ticket».
  3. Check the header Review the client, the date and the project.
  4. Review the lines Adjust «Concept», «Diagnosis», quantity, price, discount and tax. Add more with «Add line».
  5. Save Click «Save as draft» or «Save».
Each incident becomes a line: its title is the concept and its description comes along.

Each incident becomes a line: the title is the «Concept», the description is the «Diagnosis», the quantity is the (or 1), and the price is the estimated cost (or 0). The order, the project and the client come from the first incident. A vehicle incident comes in as a free line, with no resource.

What happened

  • The ticket got a number like «RT-2026-00001» and its totals.
  • It's in «Draft». Both «Save as draft» and «Save» create it in «Draft».
  • Each source incident now lists the ticket in its «Related documents».
The saved ticket, in «Draft» and linked to its incident in «Related documents».

Warning: The editor offers «Type» («Internal» or «External»), but the ticket doesn't keep it: it always shows «Internal», and the list's «External» filter finds nothing. Use on the incident to tell in-house and workshop repairs apart.

Other ways to create a ticket

From one incident

On the incident page, click «Convert to» → «Repair ticket».

«Convert to» on the incident page.

From an order

In the order's documents card, click «Repair ticket». The ticket starts with the order and its client. See Create documents from an order.

Empty, or as a copy

«Maintenance» → «Repair tickets» → «New Ticket» starts an empty ticket. «Duplicate» on a ticket copies its order, client, project and lines.

Ticket statuses

StatusHow a ticket gets there
«Draft»When it's created, and when it's reopened.
«Sent»Only by hand, with «Change status to» in the list. Sending it by email doesn't change it.
«Converting...»Only by hand. Converting it doesn't change it.
«Invoiced»Only by hand.
«Closed»With «Close ticket».

Warning: In the «Repair tickets» list, the status tabs show the right count but don't filter the table. The date filter uses the date the ticket was created, not its own date, and the list shows at most 1,000 tickets. Use search or the other filters to find a ticket.

Close, reopen or delete a repair ticket

  • «Close ticket» warns that the ticket can no longer be edited. It moves to and «Edit», «Convert to» and «Send» disappear.
  • «Reopen ticket» brings a closed ticket back to «Draft», so you can change it again.
  • «Delete ticket» asks for confirmation, deletes the ticket for good and unlinks its source incidents.
  • «Edit» replaces all the lines when you save and recalculates the totals. Changing the lines doesn't relink incidents.

Why can't I delete a repair ticket?

This can happen if the ticket has already produced a purchase order, an invoice or a quote. Filmo says «No se puede eliminar el ticket … porque ya generó …» (in Spanish). Close it with «Close ticket» instead: it stays as a record and can't be changed. A proforma doesn't stop you deleting the ticket.
