Sales invoicing preferences

The default taxes, collection account, due date and numbering Filmo proposes on new quotes, invoices and other sales documents.

Account administrators with the «Sales» permission (view is enough).

Each time you create a quote or an invoice, Filmo fills in some values for you: the taxes of each new line, the account a collection goes into, the next number. Your decide those values. They never change documents that already exist.

Where to find it

Go to «Settings → Finances → Sales invoicing preferences». The screen has two cards: the preferences, with «Edit» and «Save», and «Document format».

Each type on the left has its own series.

Set the default taxes for new documents

  1. Edit the preferences Click «Edit» on the preferences card.
  2. Add a tax In «Sales taxes», click «Change tax type» and pick the tax.
  3. Save Click «Save».
«Change tax type» sits to the right of «Sales taxes».
  • A tax from the same group replaces the one you had: choosing IVA 10% replaces IVA 21%.
  • Only taxes checked in «Taxes used by the company» can be saved. Otherwise, see Fix “The tax is not active in the company”.
  • With no taxes set, new lines carry your country's (IVA 21% in Spain).
  • A client's own taxes come first on that client's lines. The whole order of preference is in Tax settings.
  • Changing the defaults doesn't touch existing orders or documents. The same rules apply to the purchase taxes.
