Set a space's rental price
Give a space a price per period, a fixed price or a pricing structure, plus its insurance, deposit, costs and preparation time.
People with the «Spaces» permission in edit mode. With view mode you can open spaces but not change them.
NEO can also change a space's price, extras and costs.
When you add a space to an order, Filmo proposes its price for the order's duration. A new space has no price, so the first time you want to charge for one, you set it on the space itself. Each new order line then starts from it, and you can still change the price on the order.
Let's price the Garden Room by the day. The modes work the same as for items; How order prices are calculated explains how each one turns into an amount.
Set the price
- Open the price card On the space's «Summary», find «Price settings» and click «Edit».
- Turn on charging Under «Rental price», turn on . Without it, the space has no price.
- Choose the mode Choose and enter the price «For» a day.
- Add the taxes In «Default tax», choose the taxes the line should carry, if any.
- Save Click «Save». Filmo confirms “Pricing settings updated successfully”.
The list's «Price» column now shows the amount and the period.
The three modes

A suits a one-off event. A can follow one of your , the same ones items use, managed with «Manage templates». A space that uses a template has no rules of its own: the template's rules apply, as they are when the order is opened. A custom structure keeps its own rules.
What the order line gets

The line's taxes come from the client; if the client has none, from the space; and if the space has none, from your company. To change the price on one order, see Change the price of an order line.
Removing a price
Turning off «Charge for use» and saving doesn't remove the price: Filmo confirms the change, but the space keeps its rate and keeps proposing it on new orders. To remove it, ask NEO, for example “Remove the rental price of the Garden Room”.
Space insurance, discount, deposit and cost settings
The same card has two more blocks. «Extras» holds the defaults the line takes when you add the space to an order; you can change each one on the line.

«Virtual profitability» holds two costs per day: the (depreciation per rental day) and the (what it costs you to rent the space from someone else). Both start empty.
Warning: Despite the block's name, these costs don't count toward an order's profitability yet. Keep them as reference figures. They also aren't included when you export spaces, so re-importing the exported file clears them.
Set preparation time before and after a space rental
A room often needs setting up before an event and clearing after it. In «Preparation time», set a in hours or days:
- «Buffer before rental»: the time needed before the rental starts.
- «Buffer after rental»: the time needed after the rental ends.
The space stays occupied during that time on every booking, the ones already saved and the new ones, and the client doesn't pay for it. If the Garden Room has 2 hours after each rental and an order uses it until 18:00, the wedding dinner can start at 20:00, not earlier.
