Why can't I delete an item?
Filmo won't delete an item that's an accessory, contents of a unit, part of a kit, on an order that hasn't come back or in an active subrental.
People with the «Inventory» permission in edit mode. With view mode you can open items but not change them.
Filmo won't delete an item that something else still depends on: another item, a kit, an order or a subrental. That protects the jobs and packages that use it.
What you'll see
- When you choose «Delete item», “Cannot delete item” appears with “You cannot delete an item that is an accessory of other items” or “…that is part of the content of other items”, followed by their names. The dialog doesn't open.
- Or the dialog opens, and when you confirm, “Error deleting item” appears with a reason in Spanish. The item stays.
Why it happens

Being an of other items doesn't block anything: Filmo takes it off their alternatives when it's deleted.
How to fix it
Clear what the message names, then delete the item again. An accessory, the of a unit or an item in a kit is removed from the other side: the item, unit or kit that holds it.

Say you want to delete an old tent that's still the accessory of the large frame tent:
- Open the main item Open the large frame tent and go to «Variants and accessories».
- Remove the accessory In «Accessories per unit», click «Edit accessories», remove the old tent and save.
- Delete again Open the old tent and choose «⋯» → «Delete item».
Tip: If the item is still on orders, you may not need to delete it at all. Hiding it keeps those orders intact. See Stop renting an item without deleting it.
