When someone leaves you a batch of , you can record it as theirs as you add it to the warehouse. It becomes , kept apart from your own.
For the Landmark Venues wedding, a local events company drops off 40 Chiavari chairs, which it leaves with you for 30 % of what they earn. Let's add them with the events company as their .
Add the chairs
- Open the item Go to «Inventory» → «Items» and open “Chiavari chair”.
- Click «Add stock» It's on the inventory card, in «Summary».
- Enter the quantity and location Type 40 in «Quantity» and choose the warehouse in «Location».
- Turn on «Consigned stock» The list of owners appears.
- Add the owner Click «Add owner», choose the events company and type 30 in .
- Confirm Click «Add stock».
The 40 chairs are in the warehouse. Along the way:
- They're in their own , separate from your 80 chairs in the same warehouse. The item's inventory table shows the events company in the «Consigner» column.
- The other 70 % is : your share of what those chairs earn.
- If the events company already had a row of chairs in that warehouse and variant, the 40 are added to it and their percentage is updated. Any other co-owners of that row are kept.
Note: «Consigned stock» isn't offered when you add stock from an order. Add consigned stock from the item page.
How consigned bulk stock is kept
Each owner's consigned stock lives in a row of its own, apart from your stock and from other owners' stock, even in the same warehouse and variant. The first owner in the list is what identifies the row.
- Changing the order of the owners changes which row it is. If another row in the same warehouse and variant already has that first owner, Filmo won't save: add the stock to that row instead.
- In an order, the consigned row appears as its own warehouse option, «warehouse · owner». Availability is counted on the row you choose.
- Transferring stock between variants only moves your own stock. Consigned rows stay where they are.
What happens next
When an order takes chairs from the events company's row, Filmo calculates their of that line. See How an order's consignment split is calculated.
