Correct or undo a consignment settlement
Release lines from a settlement purchase order, settle more, or delete a draft one, and what can't be undone once it's approved.
People with the «Purchases» permission in edit mode, in an account with the Purchases and add-ons. The consignment screens offer these actions to anyone who can open them; saving fails without the permission.
A freezes what you owe an the moment the is saved, even as a draft. If you settled the wrong line, or the order changed afterwards, you correct it on that purchase order, in Purchases.
Say you settled the events company's chairs for the Landmark Venues wedding, but the client then cut 10 chairs from the order. Let's take that line out of the settlement so it's worked out again.
Remove lines from a settlement
- Open the purchase order From «Consignments» → «History», click «⋯» → «View PO» on the line.
- Unlock it, if needed If the purchase order is locked, unlock it first.
- Delete the line Edit the purchase order and delete the line you want to release.
- Save Save the purchase order.
The removed goes back to and follows the order live again, so you can correct the order and settle it once more. The shares that stay on the purchase order keep their frozen amount. This works on a draft and on an approved purchase order.

Warning: An approved settlement purchase order can't be deleted, and it can't be left without any of the lines it settles. At least one share always stays settled, so check the lines before you approve.
Warning: Changing the price on a purchase order line doesn't change the settled amount. To settle a different amount, release the line, correct the order or the percentage, and settle again.
Good to know
- A purchase order saved as a draft and approved later stays «Pending» in Purchases, not «Completed»: there's nothing to receive. It doesn't change the shares it settles.
- Cancelling the order doesn't release its settled shares. Edit the purchase order to do that.

No. A line goes into a settlement whole. To change its amount, release it, correct the order or the percentage, and settle it again.
