Why can't I receive a purchase order?
Only an approved purchase order with something left to receive can be received, and new stock needs a warehouse.
People with the «Purchases» permission in edit mode. With view mode you can open purchases but not change them.
You open a to put the delivery into stock, but «Receive» isn't there, or saving the reception fails.
What you'll see
- The purchase order has no «Receive» button.
- «The purchase order must be pending to receive».
- «Select reception warehouse» when you save.
- An error with a technical message, and nothing received.
Why it happens
- This can happen if the purchase order is still a draft. Only an approved purchase order can be received.
- This can happen if everything has already been received. «Receive» shows only while something is pending.
- This can happen if it's a consignment purchase order. It settles what you owe an owner, so there's nothing to receive.
- This can happen if some lines create new stock and no warehouse is chosen.
- This can happen if adding the stock of one line failed. Filmo then saves nothing from the reception, so the stock and the purchase order never disagree.
- This can happen if you can only view purchases. The receiving page sends you back to the purchase order.
A lock is never the reason: a locked purchase order can still be received.
How to fix it
- Approve the draft Click «Approve». It needs a supplier.
- Check what's pending On the purchase order, compare each line's quantity with what's been received.
- Choose the warehouse In «Select warehouse where stock will be added».
- Save again If a line failed, check the line Filmo points to and click «Save reception» again.
