Return items from several orders at once
From «Order lines», «Select to return» records the return of delivered lines from several orders in one go, without closing their groups.
People with the «Orders» permission. With only «Deliveries and returns», you don't see the «Order lines» tab.
On Monday the van comes back from two jobs: the three tents from the Landmark Venues wedding and the speakers from a conference. Instead of opening each order's return page, a records them all in one go from the «Order lines» tab.
It's quicker, but it does less than the return page. Read what it doesn't do, below, before you rely on it.
Return the tents and the speakers
- Open «Order lines» In «Orders», click the «Order lines» tab.
- Turn on selection Click «Select to return». The list shows only delivered lines.
- Select the lines Tick the tents and the speakers. Only lines with delivered equipment still to check in can be ticked.
- Click «Return selected» «Return selected items» opens.
- Review each line Check «Return date» (today by default) and, on each line, «Return qty», and «Notes». For the tents, choose the units.
- Confirm Click «Confirm return».
To leave without returning anything, click «Cancel selection». You can also ask NEO to do it: it shows a summary per order and asks you to confirm before running, and needs the «Orders» permission in edit mode.
What changes
- A line that comes back in full is with its condition, and its stock is freed straight away.
- A line that comes back in part becomes for that quantity and keeps taking up stock until the rest comes back.
- Units with a get their status updated.
- When every active line of an order is closed, the order is «Completed», its history records it and the client gets a notification in their mobile app, if they use it.
What the bulk return doesn't do
Warning: It doesn't finish the return groups or complete their Calendar tasks: the group stays open on the return page and in «Coming back», so open it and click . It completes the order even if those groups are still open. It doesn't create incidents: the condition is saved on the line, but no incident is created. And «Lost» frees the stock just like «Good condition».

If you see a message
Each order is processed on its own: if one fails, the others are still returned.
