See what's going out and coming back
The «Going out» and «Coming back» tabs of the orders list show every pending delivery and return across orders, one row per group.
People with the «Deliveries and returns» permission or the «Orders» permission. With only «Deliveries and returns», «Orders» opens straight on «Going out», and these two tabs are all you see.
Every morning the warehouse needs the same answer: what leaves today, and what's due back. The and «Coming back» tabs of the orders list give it across every order, with one row for each delivery or return still pending.
Check what's going out
Let's find Friday's delivery for the Landmark Venues wedding.
- Open the orders list In the sidebar, click «Orders».
- Choose the tab Click «Going out». For returns, click «Coming back».
- Find the job Search by order number, client name or email.
- Open it Click the Landmark Venues row. Its page opens.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Delivery / Return | The group's date and time. Once it has passed, it turns amber for deliveries and red for returns. |
| Order | The order number. If the order has several groups, which one this is, such as “(2/3)”. |
| Client | The client's name and email. |
| Delivery status / Return status | How many of the group's units are reserved, prepared, picked up, returned, checked in or cancelled. |
| Order status | The status of the whole order. |
| Price | The order total and whether it has been paid. |
Which rows appear
- Groups due from today up to 90 days ahead, or up to the end of the «Dates» filter.
- Overdue groups: dated before today and not finished. Only the 30 most recent show.
- A group leaves the list when it's finished or cancelled, because its Calendar task is done.
Why doesn't a delivery or return appear in Going out or Coming back?
- The order is still a draft. This can happen if nobody has reserved it yet: a draft has no groups. See Reserve equipment for an order.
- The group is finished or cancelled. This can happen once someone has closed it: open the order to see it.
- It's overdue and older than the 30 most recent. This can happen if old deliveries were never finished: open the order and finish them.
- It's more than 90 days ahead or outside «Dates». This can happen with jobs booked far in advance: widen «Dates».
- A filter or the status bar hides it. This can happen if «Client» or a status is selected: clear them.
Narrow the list
- The status bar («All statuses», «Reserved», «Prepared», «In use», and, if there are any, «Canceled») filters by the order's status, not the group's.
- Search finds the order number, the client's name or their email.
- «Client», «Dates» and «Number of items» filter the rows. «Number of items» counts the units in the group, adding up every line's quantity: the 120 chairs count as 120.
- «Display time zone» changes the time zone the dates are shown in, as in the rest of the list.
Warning: «Tags», «Project», «Custom fields», «Tax type» and «Source» are offered but don't change the list, and «Invoices» doesn't give a reliable result. Use search, «Client» or «Dates» instead.
Note: «Dates» doesn't look back: rows that aren't overdue only show from today on, even if the range starts earlier. To check an old delivery or return, open its order.
Other ways to do it
From the order
With the «Orders» permission in edit mode, the order's header has «Delivery» and «Return» buttons that open the same pages.
Download the PDFs for several rows
«Bulk actions» → «Download delivery notes» downloads one PDF per selected row in a ZIP file. See Generate and send a delivery note.
If you see a message
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No deliveries scheduled / No upcoming returns | There's nothing pending in the range, or the filters leave nothing. Clear the filters or widen «Dates». |
| A return still shows after returning it in bulk | The bulk return doesn't close the group. Open the return page and click «Finish return». |
