Print QR code labels

Create QR codes for each unit or each case of bulk stock, choose the label size and text, and print them or download them as images.

People with the «Inventory» permission. In view mode you can print and download the codes that already exist from «Bulk actions»; creating or changing codes needs edit mode.

need the add-on “Identification of equipment using QR code”, which new accounts have active.

When the crew loads the van for the Landmark Venues wedding, scanning is faster and safer than reading names. A QR code label on each tent and on each case of chairs lets the warehouse find them in the order search and tick them off on delivery and return.

How many labels an item gets depends on how you count it. A item, like the tents, has one code per unit. An item counted , like the chairs, can have several codes per , for example one per case: “QR codes are shared by every with the same variant”.

  1. Open the item In «Inventory» → «Items», click the Chiavari chair.
  2. Open its codes Click «QR Codes» in the page header. If the item has variants, choose the «Variant».
  3. Add the codes Click «Add QR Code», keep «Auto-generate» in «Creation mode» and enter how many you need, such as 12 for 12 cases.
  4. Save Click «Save». The codes appear as cards.
  5. Print Select the codes and click «Print selected», or «Print label» on one card.

Filmo builds a sheet with one label per code and opens your browser's print window. «Download PNG» saves a code as an image instead, if you print labels with other software.

Codes that Filmo generates start with FM and avoid characters that are easy to confuse (I, O, 0 and 1), so someone can type them if the scanner fails. A code is never repeated in your account. To use codes you already have, choose «Manual» and type each one.

A QR code doesn't replace the item's or , or each unit's : the label can show the SKU and the unit's code as text next to it.

  1. Open the unit On the tent's page, click one of its units, or find it on the «Serial numbers» tab.
  2. Open its code Click «QR code» in the unit's header.
  3. Create it If it has none yet, click «Add QR Code» and generate it or type it.
  4. Print Click «Print label», or «Download PNG».
  • In «All items» or «Bulk stock», select the rows and choose «Bulk actions» → «Print selected QR codes». It prints the codes those rows already have.
  • In «Serial numbers», select the units and choose «Bulk actions» → «Manage QR codes». It shows how many have a code («With QR code» / «Missing QR code»), and lets you «Generate QR codes» for the ones missing, «Print selected» or «Download ZIP» with all the images.
Opened from «Bulk actions» in «All items».

If you can only view «Inventory», these two actions are what «Bulk actions» offers in «All items» and «Serial numbers». You can print and download the codes that already exist, but not generate or edit them: ask someone with edit access to create the missing ones first.
